1. Introduction/Philosophy
I started the Phantom.Security project as a spin-off of a weak attempt to make
a Linux controlled robot. But I did learn how to read to and write from the
parallel port, and interface it with the outside using basic electronics. So
I eventually wired up the company I work at (live at?) and gave it a pretty
neat alarm system. I looked for other software like this on the Internet
and didn't come up with a whole lot... and nothing in the Open Source category.
So... this is my contribution to the community that has enabled me (and my
company) to do what it does with a next to nothing IT budget!
In accordance with my beliefs, I submitted Phantom.Security to the GNU and now
it's become the product you now have: GNU Phantom.Security.
